• High Bandwidth Acoustic Source for Pressure Field

• The AM 585 high bandwidth acoustic source is suitable for two applications: free field near-field mode (5-10cm) and pressure field mode, ideal for testing the frequency response, distortion, and other acoustic parameter indicators of miniature microphones.

  In free field operation mode, the AM 585 offers extremely high sensitivity and a wide frequency transduction efficiency, ensuring very low distortion even at a working distance of 5cm at a 94dB sound pressure level. At a typical 5cm MRP distance and working condition of 94dB sound pressure level, the distortion from 200Hz to 10kHz is less than 1%.

  In pressure field operation mode, the AM 585 also ensures very low distortion at 94dB sound pressure level across the 20Hz to 20kHz range. Under typical pressure field working conditions at 94dB, the distortion from 20Hz to 20kHz is less than 1%.

  When used in conjunction with the MegaSig PM 0083 integrated preamplifier, MegaSig pressure field microphone M 673, and front-end A 802, the performance is excellent, making it suitable for R&D testing or production testing of high-end audio products.
